In 2019, TikTok was worth $350 million, which shot up to $1.9 billion at the end of 2020 (thanks to the pandemic).

 

TikTok also witnessed an increase in users progressively since 2017, when it had 65 million users and now has 1 billion annual users. From the user demographics front, most of TikTok’s 1 billion users are in Southeast Asia and North America, respectively. The highest download rate of TikTok occurred in the first quarter of 2020 in the height of the pandemic with 315 million downloads.

 

TikTok is used by different people from; under 18- 39+, but the highest user statistics for TikTok is in the hands of the 19-29 age bracket, who account for 35% of TikTok users. If we were to look at this from a gender point of view, 59% of the use of TikTok is dominated by female users, 39% male, and 2% other.
